Thing 1

This is the first thing, and it is also the first post of this spectacular blogger-branded "weblog". Two great firsts that are great together. Weblog may be a (antiquated) compound word but blog is a blend. This is the type of gem you can expect while reading the blog of an English Language Learners (current term for primary/secondary learner of English as a Second Language) paraprofessional currently earning her post-baccalaureate teaching certificate.

Blogging in education will become more and more relevant as people learn in action, how useful networking and idea sharing across the world really is. I have used blogs to find lesson plans, compare and contrast ESL and EFL strategies, and learn more about cultural and local experiences to hone my own cultural relativity with newcomers and find updates in Best Practices straight from the mouth of the original researcher. Please join me for more adventures in ELL and Things numbered 1 through 11. Twelve need not apply.
